What We're Looking At

Great use of silhouettes in the poster for Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023, which is being held in London on April 7-10, 2023.

What We're Talking About

Doctor Who has returned to its fan-favorite 1970s logo and announced an ambitious deal with Disney+, where the show will debut outside of the UK and Ireland. This means – The Telegraph reports – "vast budgets beyond the BBC's means, allowing for more cinematic production values and more stars."

Amongst other things, this explains why BBC America stopped funding the animated reconstructions of missing Doctor Who stories – they no longer have a commercial stake in the show's success.

Deep Wheel Orcadia by Harry Joseph Giles has been announced as the 36th Arthur C. Clarke Award winner at a ceremony in London’s Science Museum.

Henry Cavill confirmed that his Superman is back, baby.

Here's the first photo from Amazon Prime Video’s forthcoming Fallout TV series.

Suicide Squad and Peacemaker duo James Gunn and Peter Safran take charge of Warner Bros. Discovery’s troubled DC Comics superhero movies.

Whilst we're talking James Gunn, there's a hilarious trailer for the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.

Co-writer/producer Seth Grahame-Smith has left Greg Berlanti’s long-brewing Green Lantern TV series.

Alien's Academy Award-nominated British set decorator Ian Whittaker has passed away at the age of 94.

What We're Watching

Kang is back in the eagerly anticipated first trailer from Marvel’s Phase 5 opener Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.

What We're Buying*

*These aren't sponsored, we don't get a cut, and nobody sends us freebies. It's just some cool stuff we're lusting over hard.

A companion to Super7's stripped-down Star Trek: The Next Generation ReAction figures, Wave 1 of their TNG Ultimates includes Guinan, Data, Locutus of Borg, and Riker, complete with accessories and swappable hands and heads – which in Riker's case includes a wry smile.

Pre-order yours for $55.00 (approx £48).

Indie cyberpunk RPG Cy_Borg is up for pre-order from Swedish publisher Free League following its successful Kickstarter campaign. I've got the book in front of me right now and it's a work of art.

Yours for $40.72/£35.49
