Dune: War for Arrakis Board Game Smashes Kickstarter Target

CMON's Dune: War for Arrakis board game debuts beats its $100k goal in under 25 minutes.

The board game, which is designed by War of the Ring duo Francesco Nepitello and Marco Maggi, pits two sides against one another for control of Arrakis as House Harkonnen and House Atreides, with additional players taking their allies, House Corrino and the Fremen.

The Dune: War for Arrakis box set comes with 129 miniatures depicting key characters and units (and sandworms) from the saga, and is available for backers at the $110 (approx £97) pledge level – a $30 discount on the RRP.

A Spacing Guild expansion is also available as an add-on for $40 (approx £35) and an Arrakis playmat for $30 (approx £26). You can back the Kickstarter
