Video Podcast with Jin Maley

Our journey with the Embracing Mental Health as a Fandom series of events continues, this time with a new, unique perspective. We'll be joined by Star Trek's Jin Maley, Filmmaker MJ Slide, and hosted by The Companion's Welles Davis (they/them).

In Hollywood, steps have been taken towards a more diversity, but there's still so much work to do, and concerns of a "snap back" against inclusion measures are growing. Join this panel with non-binary actors and filmmakers for a candid conversation about the past, the future, and the reality of being non-binary in the film industry.

The panel will be pre-recorded but we will be live in the comments and joining in on the conversation. Do you have a question for Jin, MJ, or Welles? Record your question to our Answering Machine:

If you want to send a written question, you can email us at support@thecompanion.app with the Subject Line: Mailbox and that'll help us organize things.

By recording or writing a question for a guest, you are giving The Companion permission to use the question in a livestream or pre-recorded interview. We may use questions for other guests if deemed appropriate.

💡
The Companion mission is to support 1 million fans by embracing mental health, elevating diverse voices, and uplifting each other other. If you'd like to support us, for less than a $3.50 coffee per month, join us as a paid member by clicking here. You will get access to all of our events and be the first to know about Amanda Tapping's Embracing Mental Health as a Fandom: The Book!

Finally, thank you to all of our paid members. Together, we have been able to fundraise over $30,000 for mental health, feed the hungry, and help disabled children play video games. We literally could not have done that without you.

Since we started this series we've been overwhelmed with the incredible response from our community. Whether it's in our social hour hang outs, or in our discord, seeing people share stories, help each other and grow together has been so inspiring. It's one of the many reasons we're creating a book with Amanda Tapping.

Although it's rare, dates and times with our guests may change due to conflicts. Thank you in advance for understanding. Check out our entire Summer Slate here.
