Speaking to Sam Carter star Amanda Tapping for the third episode of The Companion podcast Brad Wright’s Conversations in Sci-Fi, the Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate Universe co-creator read off a line of dialogue from the script for his long-gestating new Stargate project.
With her role of Sam Carter in Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate Universe, Amanda Tapping inspired countless young women to pursue careers in STEM, but she has blazed a trail for women as director and producer too. As Brad’s guest for the third episode of his Companion podcast, Brad Wright’s Conversations in Sci-Fi, Amanda and Brad recall her audition, share memories of the late Don S. Davis, and address the problematic aspects of early episodes, ‘Children of the Gods’ and ‘Emancipation’.
