Amanda Tapping and Brad Wright Talk Stargate and Sam Carter

The Companion Team

Speaking to Sam Carter star Amanda Tapping for the third episode of  The Companion podcast Brad Wright’s Conversations in Sci-Fi, the Stargate SG-1Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate Universe co-creator read off a line of dialogue from the script for his long-gestating new Stargate project.

With her role of Sam Carter in Stargate SG-1Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate Universe, Amanda Tapping inspired countless young women to pursue careers in STEM, but she has blazed a trail for women as director and producer too. As Brad’s guest for the third episode of his Companion podcast, Brad Wright’s Conversations in Sci-Fi, Amanda and Brad recall her audition, share memories of the late Don S. Davis, and address the problematic aspects of early episodes, ‘Children of the Gods’ and ‘Emancipation’.
