Listen to 10 of Our Best Articles Read Aloud with Music, Sound Effects, and Feeling | Companion Update

The Companion’s immersive Audio Articles are live – listen to them, love them, and share them with your friends!

You’re busy, especially at this time of year. We get it. You don’t always have time to read every article you bookmark or follow up on every headline you see blink across their social media.

This is why we’re delighted to release the entire series of immersive Companion Audio Articles: 10 of our best articles so far, read aloud by our very own velvet-voiced Rebecca Davis and Lawrence Kao, complete with music, sound effects, and clips from the shows.

“I just listened to my first Audio Article from The Companion and loved it. It was informative, read very well, and a time saver for my busy day. Kudos!! Can’t wait to listen to the next one!”

You can either listen to them here on the player below, by choosing your preferred podcast/audio player, heading on over to our podcast page on the website, or checking out the new Audio Article feed on the app.

Call it an early Christmas present.

Audio Articles are one of the features that our members have asked for time and time again – as well as being hugely important for accessibility – so we made space in our calendar to get them just right.

At a time when big media companies are churning out content to chase clicks, or studios are passing off their own hagiography as journalism, we’re so proud of being able to support great writing from diverse voices within our fandom. Audio Articles are a way of both getting our world-beating writing in front of an entirely new audience, and adding an extra layer for Companion members who might have read the original articles already.

“I read the article for this one, but the audio version… 😭 the places @Rebecca perfectly paused, along with the clips and sound effect. Just *chef’s kiss* perfect.”

Samara (Muave) via Discord

Whether you’re hearing them for the first time or rediscovering a favorite article from a couple of years ago… we think you’re going to get a kick out of it.
