Big news for the week ahead: Audio Articles go live on Monday, Brad Wright AMA on Wednesday, and Christopher Judge: Elevating Black Voices in Sci-Fi premieres Saturday
Happy Friday gang!
For most of you, this has probably been a quiet couple of weeks on The Companion, but for an elite ensemble of handpicked Companion members, this has been a period of feverish activity. (A good fever, the sort where you hallucinate happy things.)
Audio Articles are going live on Monday
We released the first ten specially recorded Audio Articles for our eager beta testers and we’ve already begun catching up with them to get their feedback. (Shout outs to Traci, Stephen, Peter, Harry, and Vicky.)
The short version is that they’re a hit – so from Monday, they’ll be available for all Companion members (and non-members, so you can share them with your friends).
What’s been super cool from the feedback is that we’ve found people who already read the articles are finding a new dimension to them, while people coming to them for the first time are discovering just how world-beating our journalism and original analysis is.
Christopher Judge: Elevating Black Voices in Sci-Fi
We’re also delighted to unveil the epic first trailer and full guestlist for Christopher Judge’s roundtable, Elevating Black Voices in Sci-Fi.
Mark the premiere in your diary: Saturday, December 10th only on The Companion.
This is the most prestigious production that we’ve ever been involved in, and our first in-person recording with multiple cameras, makeup, and a food truck. (Okay, no food truck, but we did do lunch). It’s a powerful and urgently needed conversation that leaves you excited for the future of science fiction.

Brad Wright is holding a Reddit AMA
Companion patron and co-creator of Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate Universe, and creator of Travelers, Brad Wright, will be marking r/scifi’s 30 Days of Stargate by answering questions from fans.
All you need to do is head over to r/scifi on Wednesday December 7th and post your questions in the thread. Brad will be answering them throughout the day, so it’s a fantastic opportunity to quiz him on writing tips, obscure Stargate lore questions, and even his current favorite TV shows.
Over the course of 30 Days of Stargate (ie. right now), r/scifi will be relaxing its rules on self-promotion so long as they relate to our favorite wormhole riders. Just put [30DOS] in the title so the moderators know not to remove it and get your cosplay, art projects, memes, and more in front of 3.6 million fans!
