Director Bassam Tariq has dropped out of Marvel’s Blade reboot barely a month before production was set to begin with Mahershala Ali in the lead role.
Tariq will remain on the project as executive producer, commenting:
“It’s been an honor working with the wonderful folks at Marvel. We were able to put together a killer cast and crew. Eager to see where the next director takes the film.”
Blade is set for release on November 3, 2023, although that could now change.
