Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 3 New Posters, Trailer, and Live-Action Crossover

Tawny Newsome (Beckett Mariner) and Jack Quaid (Brad Boimler) will appear in a Lower Decks/Strange New Worlds crossover… but how?

The Star Trek: Lower Decks panel at San Diego Comic-Con was an embarrassment of riches, being followed by a set of four character posters, a trailer, and confirmation that Deep Space Nine will finally make an appearance in Lower Decks Season 3.

The big news though – revealed by Tawny Newsome (Beckett Mariner) and Jack Quaid (Brad Boimler) who crashed the Strange New Worlds panel – is that their characters will be appearing in live-action in an episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds directed by Jonathan Frakes.

How this crossover between the two eras will manifest is still under wraps, but there’s certainly precedent from the time-traveling Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode ‘Trials and Tribble-ations’ (S5, Ep6) to the little-loved finale of Star Trek: Enterprise, ‘These Are the Voyagers…’ (S4, Ep22).

Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 3 airs on August 25th on Paramount+ in the US and Latin America, and Amazon Prime Video in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe (including UK).
