As I hope you’ve noticed from the writing that we publish on The Companion, we’re passionate about mental health, and like many, we’re heartbroken by the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
This is why we’re asking you for help in raising money for the Voices of Children Foundation, which has been delivering psychological support to children affected by conflict in the region since 2015. There are plenty of organizations doing incredible work in Ukraine, but we picked them because they already have the infrastructure in place and because the services they provide will be just as important when the firing stops as it is now.
At the moment, Voices of Children Foundation is helping with the evacuation efforts and providing emergency care to children living with the trauma of war, the loss of their homes, and the loss of their loved ones
We’re giving any of our members who donate $10 or more an extra 3 months on their Companion membership.
It’s a small gesture, but it’s our way of saying thank you on their behalf.
All you have to do is forward your confirmation email from the charity to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll extend your membership.
You can also encourage non-members to donate through this page: thecompanion.app/help-for-ukraine/
If they do decide to donate via the page above, we’ll sign them up for 3 months. It’s a one-time payment and all the money will go to Voices of Children Foundation.
Thank you so much and stay kind out there.
