With news that Jodi Whittaker and Chris Chibnall are about to step down from Doctor Who, J. Michael Straczynski took to Twitter to throw his hat into the ring. A prolific writer of comic books – The Amazing Spider-Man, Superman: Earth One – and TV, he created Babylon 5 and co-created Sense8 with the Wachowski.
Hands are being wrung over the subpar box office performance of the spectacular Suicide Squad, which netted only $26.5m in its US opening weekend. We need to keep this in perspective – there is a global catastrophe on, guys.
The Orville Season 3 has been stuck in stop-start mode thanks to Covid and the move to Hulu, but we’re back in business. Hulu’s Jordan Helman hyped up the footage he’s seen and teased a possible Season 4.

Marvel’s animated oddity What If…? is coming Wednesday on Disney+, so drink in the new footage of Captain Carter in this featurette.
