We’re psyched to reveal that the next guest for Brad Wright’s Conversations in Sci-Fi, an in-depth Companion interview podcast hosted by the co-creator of Stargate SG-1, Atlantis, and Universe, will be the iconic Robert Picardo.
You can record your questions for him here. Check back to hear them played – and answered – on the show:
A frequent collaborator with Gremlins director Joe Dante, Robert made his movie debut in Dante’s cult werewolf flick The Howling (1981), going on to work with the director again for Explorers (1985), Innerspace (1987), The ‘Burbs (1989), Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990), and Small Soldiers (1998). Outside of this science fiction bromance, Robert (dis)appeared in heavy prosthesis for Ridley Scott’s Legend (1985) and voiced the robotic taxi driver Johnnycab in Paul Verhoeven’s Total Recall (1991).
In 1995, Robert began a six-year tour of duty as the cantankerous and eccentric holographic Doctor on Star Trek: Voyager, a role that allowed him to appear as the Emergency Medical Hologram in Star Trek: First Contact (1996) and an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. After playing the officious Richard Woolsey over seven episodes of Stargate SG-1, he reprised the role in Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe, becoming a regular for SGA Season 5.
We’re delighted to be able to put your questions to Robert about his incredibly varied career so check back soon to hear the full podcast.
