We’re hella stoked to reveal that the next guest for Brad Wright’s Conversations in Sci-Fi, an in-depth Companion interview podcast hosted by the co-creator of Stargate SG-1, Atlantis, and Universe, will be the incredible Naren Shankar.
Naren, who worked with Brad as a producer on sci-fi anthology The Outer Limits, got his start as a writer and scientific advisor on Star Trek: The Next Generation, going on to write episodes of Voyager and Deep Space Nine, and serve as executive producer on Farscape, Grimm, Almost Human, and the massive (but firmly non-genre) CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Currently, he’s executive producer of The Expanse, one of our current favorite shows, which is about to drop its sixth and final season.
As a dialogue between showrunners, between them responsible for some of the biggest and best sci-fi series ever made (and also SeaQuest DSV, sorry Naren), this episode promises to be an insightful and revealing exploration of how shows are born, raised… and perhaps even resurrected.
Did you miss the first few episodes of Brad Wright’s Conversations in Sci-Fi? No biggie, you can hear the Gatekeeper catch up with special guests Michael Shanks, Ben Browder, and Amanda Tapping below:
