Companion Update

Share Your Thoughts and Win a Yearly Membership | Companion Update 11

We rely on you guys to steer The Companion. Large or small, we take your suggestions and we run with them. Although the heart of what we do will always be Stargate and those shows near it in the Sci-Fi Channel schedule back in the day, we’d also love to know what ongoing or recent sci-fi series are also capturing your imagination.

Every Companion member who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win an extra year’s membership to The Companion, plus a bundle of classic SF novels courtesy of Gollancz.

The survey will take no more than two minutes to complete and entries are limited to one per person.

If you only joined up recently, there are tons of cool features that you might not yet be aware of. Our free app – download it for Android here and Apple here – is by far the best way to visit The Companion on smartphone. With the app you’re able to customize your feeds to explore the shows you’re the most passionate about, receive notifications on new articles and podcasts, and listen to our audio articles and interviews on the in-app media player.

You might have also missed the next two podcast announcements in our packed calendar. Coming in the next few weeks on Brad Wright’s Conversations in Sci-Fi, the Stargate SG-1, Atlantis and Universe co-creator will be catching up with Ben Browder, the man behind SG-1’s Cameron Mitchell and Farscape’s John Crichton. Brad is also going to be putting his questions to his old friend and lead Amanda Tapping, now a successful director of genre TV with credits including The Flash, Batwoman, and Motherland: Fort Salem.

You can record your questions for Amanda here, as well as relive Amanda Tapping in Conversation: Uplifting Women in Film & TV with the full video of the interview and audience Q&A.
