Who Was Stargate Atlantis' Best Leader - Vote Now

Unlike Stargate Command which despite being Earth’s frontline against the alien threat retained the same GC (general commanding) in the much loved Major General George S. Hammond for seven years (interrupted only for one episode), the Atlantis expedition went through three leaders in five years. But then that’s the difference when you issue your orders from a bunker under a mountain, versus a mysterious floating city in the Pegasus Galaxy.

Being at the top of the tree in Stargate Atlantis was an entirely different brief from Stargate SG-1, and it’s telling that they went for three very different backgrounds in the selection of forthright diplomat and academic Dr. Elizabeth Weir (Torri Higginson), Stargate-tested USAF lifer Colonel Samantha Carter (Amanda Tapping), and then finally, hardline military bureaucrat Richard Woolsey (Robert Picardo).
