First up, massive apologies because last time we updated you on all the new and exciting geegaws we’ve added to The Companion was well before Christmas.
Since then we’ve launched a podcast with Stargate writer/producer and Dark Matter showrunner Joseph Mallozzi, and teamed up with Farscape’s Ben Browder for the first of many epic collaborations. Also, we settled down into a nice groove with our content releasing: from now on we promise a brand new long read every Tuesday (unless it’s SciFiNow+ day!), Thursday and Sunday.
Announcements, updates and Did You Knows can strike at any time, so whenever you check in on the app something new will be going on. Regular snackable chunks of knowledge in the form of Did You Knows are just one of the extra features available to users of The Companion app, along with notifications whenever something new drops, a curated front page, and a search function.
It’s a truth universally acknowledged that as we grow, we often need new buttons sewing on so we can squeeze into our smartest slacks. We’ve put on quite a bit of weight since we swallowed all of those delicious deep dives onto Stargate, Farscape, Star Trek, and Quantum Leap.
It’s getting increasingly difficult to keep the zipper closed and nobody needs to see that.
Tommy, very much the gentleman tailor of app development (he does have lovely warm hands), has added a bevvy of new buttons to the app so that we can cram so much more into our softest content trousers. As I’m in danger of sounding increasingly unhinged, I’ll let him explain:
